Times Higher Education World University Rankings
THE rankings are accepted alongside QS and follow the same top-100 threshold. This matters because QS and THE do not rank identically, and a university that misses the QS top 100 may sit inside the THE top 100, making it worth checking both lists before concluding your degree does not qualify. The UAE authority accepts either ranking independently, so qualifying under one is sufficient.
Shanghai Ranking (ARWU)
The Academic Ranking of World Universities, published by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, is the third accepted system. ARWU is heavily weighted toward research output and Nobel affiliates, so it tends to favor large research universities and can differ significantly from QS or THE on mid-tier institutions.
